The same training is running at different venues across County and each day will be offered twice in each term. Schools may send as many delegates as they wish. The course is free and the Local Authority will pay a contribution of £100 towards supply cover for each teacher or TA attending. o Day 1 "Getting Started": Introduction to the NY Scheme of Learning; focus on getting the most out of the resources provided. o Day 2 "Achieving Progression": focus on achieving progression, especially when teaching mixed age classes; Literacy links; using the interactive whiteboard. o Day 3 "Embedding and Transition": focus on transition and embedding language learning and intercultural understanding across the curriculum. You must submit a separate application for each day at a venue and on a date that is convenient for you. The courses are based on four folders and a DVD pack, containing the North Yorkshire Scheme of Learning for Primary French. Please bring the relevant folders with you. You might find it useful to bring a fully charged laptop to familiarise yourself with the CD/DVD resources.
